Cherish - Empathy Training - Utopian Education System

"Cherish" takes place in a post-sci-fi setting, where a utopia has been achieved. In this utopia, everyone is bound only by the limits of their imaginations. Anyone can create their own utopia within another utopia.

"Cherish" follows a boy's first day in a post-utopian school. The unique educational system involves exploring a dynamic, ever-shifting building. The spaces transform based on the child's interests, revealing the history and mechanics of each subject. As the boy wonders, rooms adapt to create challenges, allowing him to reinforce and test his newfound knowledge.

In the world of "Cherish", two subjects are officially mandated for every child, "Empathy Training" and "Passion Finding". Both essentially happen at the same time. In time a new VR-Technology was invented, "Hop Alongs". It lets the user live through the entire life of historic figures in accelerated real-time, while also letting the observer feel everything the figure felt at the time. From the age of 10 to the age of 18 every child has to live through one life a month, making it 108 "Hop Alongs". This teaches children about empathy, history and also attracting interested in potential subjects.

Only when a child understands nationalist fury, utter loss and destruction, but also the construction of a masterpiece or the discovery of a generation, it will understand how humanity managed to create a utopia.

If there are an infinite amount of parallel universes, there has to be one in which we succeeded. No war, no unnecessary suffering and much beauty.
